The students
decided to take up the pickle and chutney making enterprise and were successful
in their pilot business. The product was prepared under the guidance of the
teachers and made a good business but because of the rainy reason the remaining
pickle got spoilt and thus they could not move ahead with their business.
The students
have come up with three other new business ideas namely-‘Mathri’ making (flaky biscuits)
, candle and chocolate making. To get a feedback of preference, a questionnaire
on each was prepared. The survey conducted showed that the people were more in
favour of chocolates than the other two commodities.
A chocolate
is one of the most popular food types and flavours. It most commonly comes in
dark, milk and white varieties. It is liked by both young and old especially
the kids. The students have already undertaken a survey to find the
requirements and cost of the commodity prepared, from the nearby markets. The
students of different departments-Production, Marketing and Finance , with
their teacher mentors are busy in finalizing the ‘Business and Financial Plan’
of our upcoming enterprise.
